Welcome!
Welcome!
Over the course of my eleven years at Akron Children's, eight of which have been with the foundation, I have gained a profound institutional understanding of the organization and have developed strong relationships with our donors, volunteers, administrators, physicians, patient families and my development colleagues. I began my career on the clinical side and value the insight and experience that gave me as I advanced within the hospital. My dedication to the hospital's mission, vision, and commitments runs deep, making my tenure truly fulfilling. My current role and responsibilities encompass what is required for this position, and I’m excited to expand those duties throughout the entire hospital.
Viewing this opportunity as a significant stride in my growth within Akron Children's, I’m excited to use this position to further enhance the fundraising efforts of the foundation to support the crucial efforts of the hospital’s clinical staff. Beginning with the foundation as a development services assistant, I have witnessed firsthand, at every level, the pivotal role donor stewardship plays in realizing our mission. I look forward to the chance to leverage my experience and relationships to advance and enrich our stewardship program, especially as we head into our campaign.
From the onset of my tenure at the foundation, I've taken charge of fostering donor relationships and overseeing cultivation efforts and events in the Mahoning Valley. This has included creating impact reports as well as coordinating and executing large and small donor events, including Children’s Up Close and Champions for Our Valley’s Children. I am also responsible for coordinating and tracking donor recognition and naming at Mahoning Valley locations, including two new construction projects, and creating and maintaining our robust donor recognition wall. I have planned and facilitated meetings for all levels of leadership within the hospital.
Having a distinctive edge for this role due to my operational expertise, I can leverage my background and proficiency with NXT to analyze and track essential data. I also take charge of preserving the data's integrity concerning donor stewardship and ensuring a systematic and consistent recognition process for our donors.
I've personally witnessed the significance of acknowledging and expressing gratitude to our donors, tailoring the approach to resonate with each individual donor and further strengthen their connection to our mission. I’m excited to take full charge of this department, using my knowledge and expertise enterprise-wide to continue to drive our growth.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, or if there is anything further I can provide. Thank you again for your consideration!
